'25th Anniversary Special 'Sasaki Kojiro' model'
Created in honour of Kojiro Sasaki, who is depicted on Samurai’s leather patches and is known as a master swordsman along with Musashi Miyamoto. This special model will only be released on Samurai's 10th, 15th, 20th, etc. anniversaries and employs a cutting used only for this model.
The fabric used here is a newly-created left hand twill denim with a rough yet soft feel, using Samurai's uneven Zero 17 oz. yarn. This meeting of paradoxes was inspired by the flexible yet rough style of swordsmanship displayed by Kojiro, who is said to have once sliced a swallow in half using a sword over a metre long. The design is a classic style with a buckle back and a regular straight silhouette.
Kojiro Sasaki was one of the most famous samurai in Japan and was the greatest rival of Musashi Miyamoto. He died after losing a duel with Musashi at Ganryu Island in 1612. He is known as a master swordsman who wielded a massively long sword, also known as a 'clothesline' (referring to the long poles that laundry used to be hung out on). Beyond this, most of Kojiro’s life remains a mystery.
This is the onewashed version of the jean and as such does run small, so it is recommended to size up.
